Pure Copper cable from a big name brand at a great price. I love this stuff.I want to mention that there was a review elsewhere of this same cable that complained about there not being a rip cord inside the cable. I guess that is a viable complaint especially when I found a spec sheet from Belkin that states that there should be one; however, in my opinion, one is not needed. As a matter of fact, I prefer the fact that there is none present.Sure, certain cables really need rip cords, but a Cat-5/Cat-6 cable should not. If you require to strip back more than an inch or so of Cat-5/Cat-6 cable, then you're doing something wrong. To me, the rip cord just adds an extra step of having to cut it off after stripping the sheath. We bought this as we needed some wire quick. This wire cuts very easily and easy to punch down. That kinda scares me because when using the punchdown tool this wire cuts at "half punch". That means I do not even finish punching the wire and this wire has already cut through. If this is used in an area where no one accesses again then I feel this is nothing to worry about.I've used this cable in the past, and ordered another 3000 ft. for a new set of network ports in our company's machine shop. The outer jacket is low-friction, making it easy to pull, and I've never had a problem with the strength. Of course, proper care should be taken to ensure you don't put too much stress on the cable. Punch-down is easy with the right tools, and it performs well once installed. The self-feeding dispenser box is a boon when running the cable. So although I was only running three new lines of about 200 feet, I got three 1000 ft. boxes so we could pull all the lines from point to point. The time savings is well worth the additional cost.I just found out after using about 1000 ft of this stuff that it’s completely worthless cable. Installing it was a utter waste of time and money.I connected an Apple TV, a Ubiquiti Camera, and a second Apple TV to a network using this cable - all well under 100m per run. The cables all test fine for continuity, and POE, but two of them don’t establish a data connection, and the other, the signal is so terrible that I was better off using WiFi.I’ve never experienced such a terrible quality cable. It often looped and snagged when pulling it through the ceiling, which probably didn’t help it’s cause.Unfortunately, it’s going to have to all be redone. It’s been 3 months since the install, so I’m doubtful that I’ll be credited any $ on my purchase or shipping. The moral of the story... don’t skimp on cable.I look for and used many many other products of cat 5 and 6 cables and have found this item to easy to track this conductor colors, the jacket is easy to work with when preparing the cable to use. I would tell a friend that this is a good product to use.no rip cord in the cable and it gets tangled up allot in the box. i think i paid $100 for the cable but we don't buy cable online anymore. Go get an account at your local Graybar and you can pick up a great box of General Cable for about $105, and it will pass any test you can throw at it.Super easy to tell the colors apart from one another on the wiring, no RIP cord to cut because none is present, and not once did the box fall apart or open up on us while we were pulling the cord out.Did several runs with this wire works great, good price. There is not much to say for a bunch of wires. What you want to know is does it work? The answer is yes.You may also want to know the specifications, exactly what it says in the title and product description: Cat 5EWhat is the wire type? Solid copper. I would avoid copper-clad as you may experience some issues with that in the future. Pay for quality, get the quality.I always look at a warranty, it gives me a good indication about the company. This is a lifetime warranty. Some network cables have none, or a few years. Cable should never fail, so it should have lifetime warranty in my opinion.Colour - green, like it says. I needed a different cable colour for this unique project, we had lots of blue, this will make it clear the 'special' purpose of this network wire.Customers also may ask, what about the box. It's a pull-box with 1000 feet of wire and you can pull it out easily through the self-feeding hole in the side. Little force needed, excellent for pulling your wires a few hundred feet. Some products are spools, which require unwinding; also quite easy to pull, but requires some extra equipment.Best price around for this product I could locate. Shipping was quick, always nice.
