Prismacolor yellow soft lead pencils were 1/3 more expensive again, so I took a gamble on these and am glad I did. They work equally well with the same durability as the Prismacolor pencils, and this makes it easy to highlight text in books, on papers, etc., and still have it being able to easily read it.I know they're designed for marking bowling balls, but when I needed inexpensive yellow lead pencils, I felt drawn to buy these and I am so glad that I did!
